📖 오늘의 말씀

요한이 전한 거룩한 복음입니다. 6,35-40 (공동번역)

그때에 예수님께서 군중에게 35 이르셨다.“내가 생명의 빵이다. 나에게 오는 사람은 결코 배고프지 않을 것이며,나를 믿는 사람은 결코 목마르지 않을 것이다.36 그러나 내가 이미 말한 대로,너희는 나를 보고도 나를 믿지 않는다.37 아버지께서 나에게 주시는 사람은 모두 나에게 올 것이고,나에게 오는 사람을 나는 물리치지 않을 것이다.38 나는 내 뜻이 아니라 나를 보내신 분의 뜻을 실천하려고 하늘에서 내려왔기 때문이다.39 나를 보내신 분의 뜻은,그분께서 나에게 주신 사람을 하나도 잃지 않고 마지막 날에 다시 살리는 것이다. 40 내 아버지의 뜻은 또,아들을 보고 믿는 사람은 누구나 영원한 생명을 얻는 것이다. 나는 마지막 날에 그들을 다시 살릴 것이다.”

🌾 묵상

“나는 생명의 빵이다.”
예수님께서 우리에게 주시는 이 말씀이 오늘따라 더 따뜻하게 들립니다.
세상은 우리에게 수많은 욕망과 갈증을 안겨줍니다.
더 가져야 하고, 더 이뤄야 하고, 더 보여줘야 한다고 속삭입니다.
그러나 그 끝은 언제나 허기지고, 목이 마릅니다.

예수님은 우리 안의 공허함을 채우러 오셨습니다.
단지 배고픔이 아니라 존재의 허기를 채워주는 빵,
갈증이 아니라 갈망을 씻어주는 생명수로 우리 곁에 계십니다.

그분은 또 말씀하십니다.
“나에게 오는 사람을 나는 물리치지 않을 것이다.”
주님 앞에 나아갈 자격이 있는 사람만이 아니라,
넘어진 자, 방황하는 자, 의심 많은 자조차도 주님은 따뜻하게 맞이하십니다.

믿음은, 내가 완전해서 드리는 응답이 아니라
부족한 나를 안고 주님께 나아가는 용기입니다.

오늘, 나는 무엇으로 허기지고 있는가요?
무엇이 내 갈증을 깊게 하고 있나요?
그것들을 들고, 오늘 주님 앞에 조용히 나아가 봅시다.

🙏 기도문

주님,
세상의 수많은 소리에 지쳐
마음이 텅 빈 날들이 있습니다.
그럴 때마다
주님께서 나를 위해 준비하신 생명의 빵을 기억하게 하소서.
당신 안에서만 참된 배부름이 있고,
당신 안에서만 진짜 생명이 있음을 믿습니다.

나를 배척하지 않으시고
언제나 품어주시는 그 자비에 의지하여
오늘도 당신께 나아갑니다.

나를 보내신 아버지의 뜻을 따르신 주님처럼,
저도 내 삶에서 아버지의 뜻을 찾고 살아가게 하소서.
영원한 생명을 향한 여정에 흔들리지 않게 하시고,
당신의 말씀 안에서 진정한 평화를 누리게 하소서.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John (6:35–40)

 

35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37All that the Father gives me will come to me; and him who comes to me I will not cast out. 38For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me; 39and this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up at the last day. 40For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

🌿 Reflection

"I am the bread of life."
In a world there are constantly demands more from us—more productivity, more perfection, more appearance—it’s easy to feel empty inside, even when our lives seem full.
There’s a hunger that no food can satisfy, a thirst that no success can quench.

Jesus steps into that emptiness not just to observe it, but to fill it.
He does not offer a temporary fix but becomes our eternal nourishment, the bread that never runs out, the water that never leaves us parched.

He assures us:
“Whoever comes to me I will never drive away.”
There is no need to be perfect, to have everything figured out.
Jesus welcomes even the uncertain, the weak, the lost.
Faith is not about being flawless—it’s about bringing our flaws to the One who heals.

Take a moment to pause and ask:
What am I hungry for today?
What thirst is drawing me toward Jesus?
Let your soul rest in the truth that Jesus does not reject you—He restores you.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus,
there are days when I feel so drained,
chasing after things that leave me hungry again.
But You, Lord, are the Bread of Life.
Only You can satisfy the deep emptiness within.

You never turn anyone away who comes to You.
Even in my weakness, You receive me with open arms.
Help me to trust in that mercy and to seek You above all things.

Just as You came to do the will of the Father,
guide me to live not for myself but for His purpose.
When I am weary, feed me with Your Word.
When I wander, lead me back to Your heart.

And when my time comes,
raise me up to eternal life as You have promised.

Amen.
