📖 복음 말씀 | The Gospel – Matthew 5:1–12

마태오 복음 5:1–12 | Matthew 5:1–12 (NABRE)

예수님께서 군중을 보시고 산에 오르셨다. 그리고 앉으시자 제자들이 그분께 다가왔다.
그분께서 입을 열어 그들을 이렇게 가르치셨다:

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain,
and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
He began to teach them, saying:

“행복하여라, 마음이 가난한 사람들! 하늘 나라가 그들의 것이다.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

행복하여라, 슬퍼하는 사람들! 그들은 위로를 받을 것이다.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.

행복하여라, 온유한 사람들! 그들은 땅을 차지할 것이다.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.

행복하여라, 의로움에 주리고 목마른 사람들! 그들은 흡족해질 것이다.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

행복하여라, 자비로운 사람들! 그들은 자비를 입을 것이다.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

행복하여라, 마음이 깨끗한 사람들! 그들은 하느님을 볼 것이다.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.

행복하여라, 평화를 이루는 사람들! 그들은 하느님의 자녀라 불릴 것이다.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

행복하여라, 의로움 때문에 박해를 받는 사람들! 하늘 나라가 그들의 것이다.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

너희가 나 때문에 모욕을 당하고 박해를 받으며 터무니없는 말로 온갖 악담을 들을 때에는 행복하여라.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.
Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

✨ 묵상 | 묵묵한 산 위의 약속

Korean Meditation

예수님은 화려한 성전이 아닌, 바람 부는 산 위에서 말씀을 시작하십니다.
가난한 마음, 흐르는 눈물, 온유한 손길—이것이 하늘나라를 여는 열쇠임을 선포하십니다.

‘복되다’는 말은 단지 감정이 아닌, 하나님 나라에 속한 상태를 의미합니다.
우리의 고통과 정의로운 선택이 하늘의 기쁨으로 연결되어 있다는 이 말씀은, 오늘도 꺼지지 않는 등불입니다.

이 복음 앞에, 오늘 나는 어떤 모습으로 서 있는가요?
하늘나라의 길을 걷고 있는 나의 발걸음은 얼마나 자비롭고 겸손한가요?

English Meditation

Jesus climbs a mountain—not to reign from a throne, but to lift up the weary.
His words are not lofty riddles, but a quiet revolution:
To be poor in spirit, to mourn, to be meek—these are not signs of failure, but the very entryway into the Kingdom.

Each beatitude is a mirror and a map.
A mirror, showing our brokenness;
A map, showing heaven’s path through that very brokenness.

Let us listen again to these blessings.
Not just with our ears, but with a heart ready to be turned upside-down—
or rather, right-side-up.

주님,
세상의 박수보다 주님의 속삭임을 더 듣게 하소서.
가난하고 외로운 마음에도 하늘의 숨결이 스며든다는 사실을 잊지 않게 하소서.
슬픔 속에서도 위로를, 불의 속에서도 정의를 꿈꾸게 하소서.

오늘도 작은 용기로, 복음의 길을 걷게 하소서.
말보다 삶으로, 교훈보다 사랑으로 주님을 따르게 하소서.
저를 통해 이 세상이 조금 더 하늘나라를 닮게 하소서. 아멘.

English Prayer

Lord,
Help me to listen not to the noise of the world,
but to the whisper of Your mountain blessing.
Remind me that even in the cracks of sorrow, Your grace flows in.
Even in the ache for justice, You are near.

Grant me the courage to live the Beatitudes—not just to admire them.
Let my life speak love louder than my lips ever could.
May your Kingdom come—through my yes, my meekness, my mercy. Amen.
