📖 오늘의 복음 말씀 (마르코 16,15-20)

그때에 예수님께서 제자들에게 나타나시어 말씀하셨다.

15 “너희는 온 세상에 가서 모든 피조물에게 복음을 선포하여라.

16 믿고 세례를 받는 이는 구원을 받을 것이고, 믿지 않는 이는 단죄를 받을 것이다.

17 믿는 이들에게는 이런 표징들이 따를 것이다. 그들은 내 이름으로 악마들을 쫓아내고 새로운 언어들을 말하며

18 손으로 뱀을 집어 올리고 독을 마셔도 아무 해를 입지 않으며 병자들에게 손을 얹으면 병이 나을 것이다.”

19 주 예수님께서는 제자들에게 말씀하신 뒤에 하늘로 올라가시어 하느님 오른쪽에 앉으셨다.

20 제자들은 나가서 곳곳에 복음을 선포하였다. 주님께서는 그들과 함께 일하시며 그들이 전한 말씀을 표징들이 따르게 하시어 그 말씀을 확증해 주셨다.

🌿 오늘의 묵상

예수님의 승천은 그분의 사명이 완성되었음을 의미하며, 이제 그 사명의 연속은 제자들과 우리에게 맡겨졌습니다.

복음을 전파하고, 믿음을 통해 구원을 얻게 하며, 사랑과 치유의 손길을 세상에 전하는 것이 우리의 사명입니다.

예수님께서는 우리와 함께 일하시며, 우리가 전하는 말씀을 통해 표징들이 따르게 하시어 그 말씀을 확증해 주십니다.

우리는 혼자가 아니며, 주님께서 항상 함께하신다는 믿음을 가지고, 세상에 복음을 전하는 삶을 살아가야 합니다.

사랑이신 주님,
주님께서 승천하시어 하느님 오른쪽에 앉으셨음을 기념하며,
우리에게 맡기신 사명을 충실히 이행할 수 있도록 도와주소서.
세상 곳곳에 복음을 전파하며,
사랑과 평화의 도구로 살아가게 하소서.
주님께서 항상 우리와 함께하신다는 믿음을 가지고,
두려움 없이 주님의 길을 따르게 하소서.
우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.

Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord
Mark 16:15–20

15 Jesus said to his disciples:
“Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.
17 These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons,
they will speak new languages.
18 They will pick up serpents with their hands,
and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.
They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them,
was taken up into heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God.
20 But they went forth and preached everywhere,
while the Lord worked with them
and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.

🌿 Reflection

The Ascension of the Lord marks the fulfillment of Jesus’ earthly mission and the beginning of our own.
Though He ascends into heaven, He does not abandon us; rather, He empowers us with the Holy Spirit and entrusts us with the mission of evangelization.

As disciples today, we are invited to carry the Good News into our homes, communities, and the world.
And just like the early disciples, we are assured: Christ is with us always, confirming His Word with signs of His presence—love, healing, and peace.

Let us live with the faith that Jesus walks beside us, working through us to build the Kingdom of God.

Lord Jesus,
As You ascended into heaven,
You did not leave us alone.
You sent Your Spirit to strengthen us,
and entrusted us with Your mission.

Help us to be bold witnesses of Your love.
Teach us to proclaim the Gospel with our words and actions.
May we trust that You are with us always,
working in our lives and guiding our hearts.

May we never be afraid to share Your truth,
and may Your peace dwell richly within us.
Amen.
